A desk lighting designed to create awareness of environmental responsibility & consciousness in the society.
Based on research, glass is the least recycled material
by humans (17% recycled, 83% goes to waste).

Instead of throwing away unwanted glass bottles after drinking, we can upcycle them to give a "new life".
Created a model to test the lighting effect.

I have cast the base using concrete & a glass
cutter machine to cut the wine bottle to dimension.
The metal joinery was made by using a CNC machine.
Final Concept:

The desk lamp is made out of upcycling materials to increase awareness of recycling glass instead of throwing them away.
A green wine bottle was used. The colour green is a relaxing colour that is easy on the eye and has a healing power to it.
In addition, the height of the lamp is adjustable to suit the user need.
